Op-Shop

The Op-Shop was set up by Jean Preen as a means to raise funds to establish a recognised Baptist church in Waikanae. It started trading way back on 5th December 1977.

Today the Op-Shop continues to support the work of the Waikanae Baptist Church, as well as supporting local communities and organisations further afield. Two funding rounds are held each year. For more information on applying for funding, please click here

Funding

The Waikanae Baptist Op-Shop Distribution Committee meets twice a year (May and November) to consider applications for funding.

Applications for our May meeting should be received by the end of April.
Applications for our November meeting should be received by the end of October.

We welcome applications that come under either of our two funding categories as shown below:
1. Local funding (for causes in the Kapiti area).
2. Mission funding (aiding the spreading of the life-changing message of Jesus Christ).

Please note - Due to the number of requests that we receive, we respectfully ask that you limit your funding applications to once a year to enable other causes to benefit from our funding rounds.
